LS Central Pricing 2026: What LS Retail Publishes, and What It Doesn't

“What does LS Central cost?” is usually the second question a retailer asks us, right after “will it run my stores?”. It’s a fair question, and the honest answer has two halves. LS Retail does publish a way to estimate the monthly licence cost of LS Central SaaS, and that estimate is more transparent than most people expect. But LS Retail doesn’t publish a price list, and several things you will pay for have no public price at all.

This guide sticks to what LS Retail and Microsoft publish themselves. Every licence figure below comes from LS Retail’s own retail software pricing page and its estimator, from LS Retail’s public notices, or from Microsoft’s Business Central pricing pages. Where LS Retail doesn’t publish a figure, I say so instead of guessing. For what the project around the licence looks like, read our LS Central implementation guide; for Business Central on its own, our Business Central cost guide for 2026.

Quick answer LS Retail doesn't publish an LS Central price list, but its official estimator gives an indicative monthly licence cost for LS Central SaaS in USD. On 8 October 2026 it worked out to $120 a month per head-office user and $102 a month per POS, with the Business Central Essentials user licence listed as included. A shop with 1 back-office user and 1 POS comes to $222 a month; 10 users and 10 POS, $2,220. Add-ons, implementation, hardware and support are extra. LS Retail's own implementation guidance starts at $25,000–50,000+ for a small business.

The per-user and per-POS rates are my reading of LS Retail’s estimator, not a figure LS Retail prints. The estimator says its result is indicative only and points you to a quote. The rest of this guide explains how I got the numbers and where they stop.

Where These Numbers Come From

LS Retail’s retail software pricing page carries an estimator headed “Estimate the monthly cost of your retail SaaS software”. You enter four things: users at the head office, stores or locations, POS, and total employees. You can tick three add-ons. It returns a “price starting from” figure in USD per month.

I ran it on 8 October 2026 with different inputs, changing one value at a time:

  • Head-office users move the estimate by $120 each. Going from 1 to 2 users took it from $222 to $342.
  • POS move it by $102 each. Going from 1 to 2 POS took it from $222 to $324.
  • Stores and total employees didn’t change the result in any of my runs. One store or five, 1 employee or 2,000: same number.

The arithmetic held for every combination I tried, so for the inputs it asks about, the estimate behaves as a simple formula: users × $120 plus POS × $102. The estimator itself shows only the total.

Two cautions. First, the page states that the estimate is “ONLY a general idea of indicative monthly license costs” and that you should contact LS Retail for a precise quote. Second, it’s priced in USD only. LS Retail doesn’t publish euro, pound or dirham prices, and I haven’t converted them. Your quote will come in the currency your partner bills in, at their rate.

What the Licence Estimate Includes, and What It Doesn’t

The estimator lists what its number covers, under “Included (only licenses)”:

  • The LS Central SaaS licence and back office: point of sale, products and inventory, pricing and offers, store management, reports and analysis, role centers and retail calendars.
  • A Dynamics 365 Business Central Essential user licence, described as full access to finance, CRM, projects, supply chain, HR and warehouse management.

And under “Not included”:

  • Implementation, service and support fees.
  • Hardware of any kind: monitors, POS devices, handhelds, printers, scanners, cash drawers.
  • Any extensions, IP or licences beyond those listed.

That last line matters more than it looks. Industry modules such as Pharmacy for LS Central, local fiscal or compliance apps, and other AppSource extensions aren’t in the estimate. LS Retail doesn’t publish prices for them, so you need them in a written quote.

The estimator also doesn’t say how the $120 per user splits between LS Retail and Microsoft. For reference, Microsoft’s own list price for Business Central Essentials alone is $80 per user per month. That’s a comparison, not a breakdown: LS Retail doesn’t publish one.

How the POS is licensed

On the technical side, LS Retail’s help for LS Central SaaS says POS terminals run under a shared Business Central user with a Device license, which lets several people use the same terminal (LS Central Help: Managing Users and Licenses). Back-office staff sign in with their own named users. In practice, that’s why the estimator counts POS and head-office users separately: cashiers don’t each need a named user licence to work a till.

Worked Examples from LS Retail’s Estimator

These are the totals the estimator returned on 8 October 2026, with no add-ons ticked.

RetailerHead-office usersStoresPOSEstimate (USD/month)Per year
Single shop, owner-run111$222$2,664
Small chain312$564$6,768
Small chain, busier tills314$768$9,216
The estimator’s default101010$2,220$26,640
Regional chain20515$3,930$47,160

The yearly column is simply the monthly figure × 12. Billing terms, commitment length and any discount are set in the quote, not in the estimator.

What moves the number is people in the office and lanes in the stores, not store count. A chain of five shops with one till each costs the same as one shop with five tills, at least as far as this estimate goes. Plan the head-office headcount carefully: finance, buying, merchandising and replenishment users each count.

Add-ons: eCommerce, LS Pay and Staff Management

The estimator offers three add-ons and shows their cost separately as “Add-ons starting from”.

Add-onWhat LS Retail says it doesEstimate in our runs
eCommerce integrationOut-of-the-box integration with Adobe Commerce and Shopify; the same integration is needed for other platforms$166/month with 1 POS, $199 with 10 POS, $235 with 20 POS
LS PayIntegrations to payment service providers$12 per POS per month ($120 with 10 POS)
Staff ManagementListed as a moduleThe estimate didn’t change when I ticked it, so I have no figure to report

The eCommerce figure rises slowly with POS count; it isn’t a flat fee. LS Pay scales one-for-one with POS. For Staff Management, ask for the price in your quote rather than reading anything into a zero.

How It Sits Next to Microsoft’s Business Central Prices

Microsoft publishes Business Central prices per user per month, paid yearly: Essentials $80, Premium $110 and Team Members $8 (Microsoft Business Central pricing, checked 8 October 2026). Our 2026 cost guide has the eurozone list prices (€69.30, €95.30 and €6.90 excluding VAT), the UK prices (£61.50, £84.60 and £6.20), the Device license at $45, and the November 2025 price rise. I won’t repeat that detail here.

Three practical points for retailers:

  1. The estimator includes Essentials users. If a head-office user needs Premium (manufacturing or service management), or you want Team Members for light users such as store managers who only approve and look things up, that’s a licence mix your partner and LS Retail quote. The estimator doesn’t model it.
  2. You don’t buy LS Central and Business Central twice. The estimator’s “included” list puts both licences in one figure. When you compare quotes, check that a partner hasn’t added a separate Business Central line on top of a figure that already includes it.
  3. Microsoft’s price changes can reach you. LS Retail has passed them through before. After Microsoft lowered the price of the Business Central additional environment, LS Retail cut its own add-on for LS Central SaaS from 1 January 2023 (LS Retail notice, December 2022).

Implementation: LS Retail’s Own Ranges, and Ours

On the same pricing page, LS Retail answers “How much can a business expect to pay to implement LS Central for retail?” with three bands:

  • Small business (few users, basic requirements): $25,000 to $50,000+.
  • Medium-sized business (more users, more requirements): $50,000+ to $90,000+.
  • Larger businesses or complex requirements: from $90,000+.

LS Retail adds that a precise estimate is hard because location, size, complexity and needs vary, and that the values aren’t binding. It also notes that sales requests go to an implementation partner, which then contacts you.

Our own published ranges are in the Business Central cost guide. A project that includes LS Central with POS sits in our complex tier, €45,000–100,000+ in partner fees, alongside multi-entity and manufacturing work. That’s the one-time partner fee. Licensing, hardware and support come on top. For how that money is spent, phase by phase, and how long a pilot store and a rollout take, see the LS Central implementation guide.

The two sets of ranges measure the same thing from different ends. LS Retail’s are global and in USD; ours are what we quote in euros. Neither replaces a scoped quote for your stores.

SaaS, On-Premises and the Older Price Notices

If you’re comparing LS Central SaaS with an on-premises setup, three public LS Retail notices matter:

  • No new perpetual licences for new customers. From 1 April 2025, LS Retail said there would be no further sales of Business Central on-premises perpetual licences to new customers. Existing on-premises customers can still add functionality (LS Retail notice, May 2023).
  • On-premises got dearer; SaaS didn’t. From 1 October 2024, LS Retail raised the currency factor on its on-premises price lists by about 20%, varying by country, with the USA unchanged. It stated that LS Central on Business Central SaaS pricing stayed the same and recommended that partners move customers to SaaS (LS Retail notice, May 2024).
  • Additional environments cost extra. LS Retail’s last public notice on the Business Central additional environment add-on for LS Central SaaS set it at $300 a month on an annual term billed monthly, or $3,600 a year billed annually, from 1 January 2023 (LS Retail notice, December 2022). That’s almost four years old. Treat it as an indication and ask for today’s price.

What LS Retail Doesn’t Publish

I looked for each of these on LS Retail’s public pages and didn’t find a price:

  • A price list. LS Retail’s price-list notices are addressed to partners. The public site offers the estimator and a quote request.
  • Prices in any currency other than USD.
  • Industry modules, including Pharmacy for LS Central.
  • Extensions and localisations, such as fiscal printer or country compliance apps.
  • Hardware. LS Retail says it doesn’t sell hardware; partners may.
  • Support and maintenance fees from partners.
  • Volume or multi-year discounts.
  • A free trial. LS Retail’s FAQ says it doesn’t offer one; you book a demo instead.

If a website gives you a precise LS Central price per user without naming LS Retail as the source, it’s an estimate. Some are reasonable, but they aren’t LS Retail’s numbers.

How to Get a Real Quote

The estimator is a fair first filter. A quote you can budget on needs more detail. Have this ready before you talk to LS Retail or a partner:

  • Head-office users by role, and which of them need more than Essentials
  • Number of POS per store, now and in two years
  • Stores per country, since localisation and fiscal requirements are set per country
  • Channels: webshop platform, marketplaces, click and collect
  • Payment providers and terminals in use
  • Industry needs: pharmacy, hospitality, fuel, deli scales, age checks
  • Integrations: loyalty, EDI, WMS, BI
  • Sandbox and test environments you’ll need beyond the standard ones
  • Support model after go-live, and who handles first-line store support

Ask for licences, implementation, hardware and support as separate lines. Then ask what’s not included. That question saves more money than any discount.

FAQ

How much does LS Central cost per month in 2026?

LS Retail doesn’t publish a price list. Its official estimator gave about $120 a month per head-office user and $102 a month per POS on 8 October 2026, with the Business Central Essentials user licence listed as included. One user with one POS comes to $222 a month; 10 users with 10 POS, $2,220. The estimate is indicative and in USD only.

Does the LS Central price include the Business Central licence?

In LS Retail’s estimator, yes: the “included” list names the LS Central SaaS licence and a Dynamics 365 Business Central Essential user licence. If some users need Premium or Team Members, the mix has to be quoted, because the estimator only models Essentials users.

How is the LS Central POS licensed?

Per POS. LS Retail’s estimator charges per POS, and its help documentation says POS terminals run under a shared Business Central user with a Device license, so several cashiers can use the same terminal without individual named licences.

How much does an LS Central implementation cost?

LS Retail’s own guidance is $25,000 to $50,000+ for a small business, $50,000+ to $90,000+ for a medium-sized one and from $90,000+ for larger or complex projects, and it says these values aren’t binding. In our published ranges, a project including LS Central with POS sits in the €45,000–100,000+ tier for partner fees, with licences, hardware and support on top.

Does the number of stores change the LS Central price?

Not in LS Retail’s estimator. In our runs, changing the number of stores or employees didn’t move the estimate; head-office users and POS did. Store count still affects implementation, hardware and rollout effort.

Can I still buy LS Central on-premises with a perpetual licence?

Not as a new customer. LS Retail announced that from 1 April 2025 there would be no further sales of Business Central on-premises perpetual licences to new customers. Existing on-premises customers can still add functionality.

Is there an LS Central free trial?

No. LS Retail’s FAQ says it doesn’t offer free trials. You can book a demo, and LS Retail passes the request to an implementation partner.
